Volume 1: Canyon Surfing
This is our first action-packed DVD featuring amazing flying you can only experience with a STOL aircraft...
Our first release, Volume 1, Canyon Surfing, contains amazing footage: over-flying riverbeds, meadows and country roads in a beautiful, secluded canyon. It shows numerous backcountry flying maneuvers including stunning short-field takeoffs and landings. "Canyon Surfing" also includes an exciting chapter filled with candid, unedited video clips accompanied by commentary throughout.

It took us a few months to film all the footage seen in Canyon Surfing. An observant viewer will note the slight differences in scenery due to the change of seasons...
We tried many points of view (PoV) for the camera in order to provide variety and to make the final film more interesting. While just one person could do everything (fly and film) when the camera was mounted inside the cabin, we needed to be at least two for wing-mounted and ground-to-air shots.
We originally intended to include just the main feature in the final DVD, but changed our mind when we saw how much great footage still remained unused on the editing-room floor (actually in the computer). Based on feedback received from many viewers, the added material is appreciated and of particular value to CH 701 fans and pilots alike.
Canyon Surfing continues to be a popular DVD among back country flying enthusiasts; excerpts available on YouTube have been viewed hundreds of thousands of times.
